Development Director
The Development Director is responsible for leading the MagicWater Project’s fundraising program and reports to the founders. The Director will also be responsible for developing and maintaining active and productive relationships with our research and clinical partners and donors.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
Fundraising- Designs, implements and manages all fundraising activities.
- Manages all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation, and relations.
- Maintains contact with and develops grant proposals for foundations and corporations.
- Supervises donor and gift record-keeping.
- Oversees the management of databases and all records, files, and gift processing.
- Manages the pledge reminder and acknowledgement programs.
- Works with parents and other volunteers to identify and train a core group of volunteers to assist in special events and other fundraising programs as needed.
Project Coordinator (Position filled 2/2008)
The primary function of the MWP Project Coordinator (PC) is to manage the timely assignment of tasks throughout the organization in support of prioritized projects. In addition to coordinating tasks, the PC will also work on specific projects as a project management / coordination resource, assigning tasks and action items independently. The PC works under close supervision of a MWP founder(s), who assigns projects and prioritizes assignments for the PC.
Job functions (in order of importance / frequency) in support of this include:
- Accepting, clarifying, adding detail, and assigning project tasks throughout the network of collaborators in support of various defined projects.
- Keeping and providing status of above tasks, and updating due dates and expectations with stakeholders.
- Attending MWP project status conference calls and quarterly meetings in-person, and recording action items and project timeline or scope changes.
- Communicating changes / action items to the organization via emails, task updates, project plans, and/or tasks.
- Tracking project-related issues and following up with assigned owners to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with third party / outsourced resources, under the direction of a MWP project owner, on the completion of strategic projects and tasks.
- Assist and provide feedback to the organization for internal process improvement initiatives such as tool upgrades, process changes, or collaborator communications.
