Neuroblastoma and medulloblastoma cancer research under the guidance of Dr. Donald Durden.
Apatone
This is a project to determine if a promising low toxicity treatment, Apatone, which has shown some initial efficacy in adult prostate trials, can be as effective in neuroblastoma and medulloblastoma.

This officially opened on Monday, January 14, 2008 with two enrolled patients. We contributed $150,000 to the study’s budget of $630,000.
Nifurtimox phase 1 study
This is a fully-funded phase 1 study being conducted at University of Vermont under the guidance of principal investigator Dr. Giselle Sholler. If you’re interested in the Informed Consent/Parental Permission document, you may download a PDF version of it here.
NOTE: This trial has enrolled its last patient as of September 2007.
